Your average yoga matThe mat was delivered on time and in good condtion and all of that stuff. But it has a chemical smell that was very strong when it first came. It was billed as a "thick" mat but its not any thicker than the average mat.
It looks great but overall I was disappointed in its performace.

Too expensive.Don't get me wrong, I like it - but I really resent how much I had to pay for it.
There just isn't anything all that special about the thing. It's made of wood, and looks good, but everything else about it is pretty bare bones. The underside is plastic and feels cheap. Setting the timer is simple, but non-intuitive. It has precisely one function, and is otherwise featureless.
In other words, it does the single job for which it's intended, but I just don't see why something the guts of an fancy egg timer had to cost $80?
Well sadly, I do know. The makers are simply exploiting their niche. The market for meditation timers is not-at-all competitive - this is one of the few choices you've got out there, and they know it. If you were to price this thing in a market that was even slightly competitive, it would be about half the cost. My advice to the manufacturers? Congrats, you found a comfy niche where you can overcharge people for your product. Enjoy it while it lasts (tick-tock-tick-tock).
So, if you've got money to burn, and you aren't expecting much other than something that looks pretty cool, and does exactly one simple thing for you, then go for it. If not, then you might want to wait it out. Just one or two more competitors in the field of "suave-looking-but-cheaply-made-meditation-timers" will probably force the price down to something more sane. It's really just a matter of time.
