I recently completed a 200 hr. certification to teach yoga and I find this book invaluable. I use it for sequencing, attention to technical detail and inspiration. Judith just knows how to make each asana make sense. I only wish there were more than 30 essential poses:)

A lovely book written with care and passion for and about yoga. The poses are well-illustrated and easy to follow. I found this book very helpful when seeking information about poses and various modifications of the basic poses. It's now an oft-referred part of my yoga library.

Great book for beginners in Yoga

This book was just what I was looking for. Very easy to follow and if I can't do a pose the props are shown and an easy beginner version is described. The book is in great condition just as described.

Very Good Guide

This book is a great one to have around if you are new to yoga as I still am for the most part.

The sections are broken down to easily find what you are looking for with both words and photos that really make the poses clear. If you take classes, workout with DVDs or practice on your own, I still highly recommend this book as an excellant addition.
